At Texturesmith.com we test all of our textures on 24 or 22 gauge copper and metal clay. We have not tried our textures on all metals. However, technically there is no reason why a thicker metal could not be used in the rolling mill. With that thought I went into the studio to see if I had some 16 gauge silver. I did not. However, I did find some 14 gauge silver sheet! I had cut it into a strip to be used as a ring shank. It worked perfect! giving a nice crisp texture. I think I need to make a ring!!
